This will be a special, smaller scale class with a max of 7 attendees.
Every year this workshop is such a joy for me to put together for those of you who either love to shoot styled still photography for yourself or other brands. In an effort to make this a close and helpful class, we are keeping it at 7 attendees and hosting at a private home in the Phoenix area.
Attendees in the past have come from local areas and other states, leaving with the knowledge to start their own photography/still life styling business, or grow the one they already have.
As I do research every year for other workshops with similar focus, I find there are not very many options in the US, especially those that are affordable for many small business owners or creative women just realizing their passion in natural light, still photography.
It can be life-changing to be able to offer natural light photography to business owners, especially when shooting interiors of homes!
****Before I get into the specific details, let me reiterate that this workshop is focused on the process of styling and shooting still spaces + details in natural light, from beginner to approaching the intermediate level. ****

This workshop will cover:
… some beginning steps for planning a brand shoot, choosing the gear, props, locations, planning flat lays, and performing the shoot with the goal of delivering on-brand images.
(Even if you enjoy shooting for your own brand at home, shooting still details can be extremely satisfying, peaceful and relaxing. )
…styling and shooting still details for business owners, still-life items/products and flowers, as well as a special Q&A time with a special guest stylist!
…methods for shooting inside with natural light, or various locations for our branding clients, Air BNB’s and real estate.

The workshop is being held at a private farmhouse air bnb! We will have access to the home for shooting opportunities, and our stylist will also be working her magic indoors and outdoors.

SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS: The day will start with arrival to our private house for brunch treats and conversation at 930am! If you rather not meet early for that, the official start of the day is at 10am when we will start with our discussion of all things STILL PHOTOGRAPHY!
There will be plenty of time to enjoy the house we are hosted in…practicing photography in several of the spaces, and trading head shots with each other if desired.

The nitty gritty:
All participants will be required to sign contract for liability reasons. This contract will be sent before the registration deadline of 9/10. Your registration isn’t official until the contract has been received back.
The workshop location is a farm air bnb in San Tan Valley, AZ. This is about 45 minutes from the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. You can also consider the Mesa-Gateway airport, which is closer, but smaller.
All fees are non refundable, but you may transfer your seat to a friend if needed!
Any participants may opt to have a follow up 1:1 zoom mentoring call with me in November to talk about any new questions you may have after the class.
